⚠️ We no longer recommend LawGeex. As of August 2026 its website is serving an expired security certificate, so mainstream browsers block the site with a warning before it will load. Its enterprise business was also reportedly sold in 2023, and the product is not being sold to new customers. We’re leaving this page up as a record rather than deleting it.
The idea LawGeex was built on is still a good one, and it’s worth naming because it’s what you should go shopping for: automated first-pass review against your own playbook, so routine NDAs and standard agreements approve themselves and only the exceptions reach a lawyer. That’s a real reduction in legal workload, and it’s the reason the category exists.
What to look at instead
- Spellbook — the one we’ve actually paid for and used. It works inside Word, which is where contract drafting already happens, and its redlines are lawyer-grade rather than generic.
- Harvey — if you’re at the scale where playbook review is a procurement project rather than a subscription. Untested by us, and enterprise-priced.
